In the DRC an American citizen was involved in a child trafficking network. In 2013, the Congolese authorities jailed M. Samuel Jessy whose accomplice was the Congolese residing in the United States, Gauthier Mukoko. The criminal organisation headed by Jessy took the children to Kasumbalesa, Katanga, and then sent them to the U.S. Mukoko has a transport company in Kitwe, Zambia, which is aparently used to send the kids to the U.S. Source: Radio Okapi.
